Program - Current Speakers for FluoroFest 2011 - Santa Clara, California, USA
Keynote Speaker:
Dr. Zygmunt (Karol) Gryczynski (“Tex” Moncrief Jr. Chair & Professor of Physics, Dept. of Physics and Astronomy, TCU & Director, Center for Commercialization of Fluorescence Technologies (CCFT) Dept. of Molecular Biology and Immunology, UNTHSC)
In a career spanning nearly 25 years encompassing his early work with Dr. Joe Lakowicz as an Assistant Director in the Center for Fluorescence Spectroscopy at the University of Maryland to establishing the Center for Commercialization of Fluorescence Technologies (CCFT), Dr. Gryczynski has made significant contributions in nearly every branch of fluorescence spectroscopy. He will share his perspectives on the evolution of fluorescence spectroscopy, discuss some of his current research on the applications of FLIM and FRET, and look forward into the future of our field.
